Case Closed…?
A concept art assignment in which we were to create art for a sidescroller game. Requirements were a protagonist, an antagonist, some obstacles, and a background.
I decided on having the premise be the main character, Alex, being late for school. The player’s goal would be to help them reach the end of the level before time runs out. I drew on games such as Animal Crossing and Subway Surfers as stylistic inspirations for the characters, adding a juvenile touch through the scribbled look of the background to create a game friendly for young players.
